A Low-Prep Presidents’ Day Activity Your Students Will Love 🇺🇸

Hey Teacher Friends,

Presidents’ Day is here, and I wanted to share a simple, engaging resource to add to your plans—my Presidents’ Day Mini Books and Sort activity!

This resource helps students learn about George Washington and Abraham Lincoln through easy mini books and sorting activities that build comprehension and critical thinking skills. It’s perfect for special education and inclusive classrooms and works well for centers, small groups, or independent practice.

If you need something meaningful but low-prep for February, this might be just what you’re looking for!

Classroom Update 💕📐

In our classroom, we kicked off our Valentine’s Day Candy Bar Project last week as part of our Geometry in Real Life PBL unit! Students are designing their own candy bars while exploring perimeter and area in a meaningful, hands-on way. This project is part of a growing PBL resource collection I’m classroom-testing and refining before adding to my TPT shop—so everything is truly teacher-tested and student-approved. I can’t wait to share it with you soon!

Have a great week!

When you're ready, I'll be popping into your inbox throughout the summer with a few simple prep ideas that can help make August feel a little less overwhelming. ☀️...

friends with a caterpillar

Hey teacher friends! We have some very exciting new “class pets” in our room this week… caterpillars! 🐛 My students are already SO invested in watching them grow, and we’ll be observing the full life cycle before releasing them as butterflies. There’s just something so special about experiencing that transformation in real time! If you’re doing a butterfly unit (or want an easy way to bring a little spring learning into your classroom), I wanted to share a few of my favorite resources: 🦋...
